Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia and Bryan A. Garner receive the 2009 Burton "Law Book of the Year" Award. The two authors presented a continuing legal education program at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. in July 2008, donating all profits to Legal Aid of Washington, D.C.
